Championship/League One Talent
I love it when we sign talented young players from the championship, there's always players there for us if we bothered to do some proper scouting.

Who has caught your eye this season?

Jarrod Bowen at Hull has done really well. 22 year old winger with over 20 goals for Hull.

Dan James at Swansea has had his moments.

Any more for any more? Any decent full backs caught your eye? (Ones who can actually defend). Could do with a proper central midfielder too.

Turn it in. Wanyama is perma broken and Dunk probably wouldn't be in our top three CBs. You LEMON.

Burns, Danny and Nicky grew up 2 doors away from me and are life long friends. Our mum's still go on a girls weekend to center parcs a couple of times a year.

They're good lads who have done incredibly well.

I'm hoping the third player from them is Rico Henry. Excellent young left back, only 21 as well.

Yes i know theyre on loan, Wilson i dont think will be in the Liverpool first team next season so would like to see us get him.

Mount probably the same. Offer these kids first team football in the premier league and lets show some ambition with our recruitment

Brentford defender might of been Mepham who went to Bournemouth in Jan or Konsi? Young CB they signed from Charlton

Re: Championship/League One Talent
Bowen and James have already been targetted to sit on the bench at one of the big clubs which is where they will go.

Norwich are going up so will sell no-one. Grealish is off to Spurs etc. Anyone young, decent and ambitious will be off elsewhere.

Cairney is more our limit, 28 and no-one else wants him.

We are a mid-table club who will probably sell Rice this summer for £50m and those two bits of business sums us up. Little or no ambition other than to stay up and pretend we can compete with giants like Watford, Southampton, Palace and Newcastle. We are even off the pace behind Everton, Wolves and Leicester now. Sad but true

Cairney is 28 and so doesn't represent potential anymore.

Re: Championship/League One Talent
Important to keep a British core in my opinion.

Many players come up from the championship and look impressive. Get them in young, hungry and with a point to prove.

Be good to see 2 or 3 come in from the lower leagues.

Weren't we looking at that millwall right back?

Agreed on Maddison however its always easier to be wise after the fact - I think Tom Cairney will be out choice- we tried him last year- I think he's ok however a bit lightweight !?

Re: Championship/League One Talent
im still disappointed we missed out on James Maddison

it was so obvious he could make the step up

I think we need to be signing Wanyama from Spurs and Dunk from Brighton. Not exactly fitting the mould of the thread but would be instant upgrade.

Re: Championship/League One Talent
Rossal - Unfortunately Mount and Wilson are on loan from Chelsea and Liverpool respectively, so you would think we have missed the boat on those two.

I get what you're saying about the standard of League One but players like Alli were grounded there. He never played Championship football. Well worth keeping tabs on.

Haven't seen the Luton RB play, I do know they have about 5 ex-hammers in their team though!

Re: Championship/League One Talent
Id like Dan James looks a good prospect.

Aarons the Norwich RB would be a good signing

Bowens ive not seen much of but looks a goal machine, think he will have a few clubs after him though

2 that have caught my eye every time ive watched them is the two youngsters at Derby. Mason Mount and Harry Wilson both look like they could make the step up and would be signings that id rather us start to make ie - young upcoming players with a point to prove.

Che Adams is another thats been mentioned who looks like he knows where the goal is and we need strikers in the summer

QPR also have some youngsters which are rated highly they are Eze and Osayi - Samuel

Another one is Bradley Dack

Cant see anyone from League 1 being prem standard from the off.....James Justin the young Luton RB possibly one. Honeyman the Black Cats captain poss someone who is good enough too

pdbis 12:40 Wed Apr 24
Re: Championship/League One Talent
Malpay from Brentford could make the jump and knows where the goal is.

i do like the look of Che Adams at Brum

22 and looks like he could be moulded into a better Troy Deeney

I bet there was no buy back clause at a reduced price either - which is what a well run club does.

It's always worth casting a beady eye on the Championship...I do think there are certain players who start early and get at least 200 games under their belt by the time they reach 24 years old are the ones to viddy.

Burke just needs games...I bet he gets better next season...reckon Hull will be challenging for automatic promotion.

Re: Championship/League One Talent
There's another young lad at Hull doing very well at the moment. Fans rate him highly. You might recognise the name.

Reece Burke.

Sold for 1.5 million. Shocking business.

Re: Championship/League One Talent
Norwich and Sheff Utd as good as promoted already, so the play offs should be good with the other teams who are in and around those 4 spots.

Never seen Bowen play and wouldn't judge his goal scoring as a sign of his talent, so a shame I fell out with the bloke who's a Hull season ticket holder who I could have asked!!!
